Scott Travis is the Research and Programs Director. He oversees the many and diverse projects the SHI undertakes, and he has extensive research experience under his PhD Candidacy. He has studied mental health disorders and outcomes in affordable housing, and he believes that improved living conditions will not only improve the quality of life of tenants, but will lead to reduced operator costs and increased community acceptance.
Born in Hanna, Alberta and raised in Lethbridge, Scott was lucky enough to spend much of his childhood on the family farm, and exploring the very windy, Southwest Alberta. Scott has a degree in Neuroscience from the University of Lethbridge and is currently completing his PhD work in Neuroscience and Mental Health from the University of Alberta.
